Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and long range shooting

Hi everyone. I'm new to the site and long range shooting. So I will be asking questions to figure a few things out on my next project.

I just bought a Savage model 12 in 300 wsm, I'm waiting on it to show up. What I would like to do is buy a tactical style stock, add a muzzle brake, then have it cerakoted. I would also like to convert it to a detatchable box magazine, but I'm having a hard time finding info on what all is needed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I'm from Dayton, OH. There aren't many places to shoot long range near me. My local range only goes out to 200 yards, but Thunder Valley Precision is about 180 miles away, and they have 600/1000/1600 yard ranges. I have only been there once, but I recently picked up a Barrett 99 50BMG, so I want to go back, maybe a couple times a year.
