I had a distant relative who is long gone and I remember him telling stories of how his job on the long distance bombers was to switch barrels on the 50 cals mid flight and mid battle. He had these thick asbestos gloves and use to grab the barrel which was glowing red hot and turn it, I think by what he was saying they were "Cammed in" then take this glowing red hot 48" barrel and toss it out the port, and install a new barrel that's all he did and could barley keep up. I can't begin to imagine.
Those arn't Brass balls those are Depleated Urainium ones.LOL
If some one want's to correct me on the details I'm fine with that, it was a long time ago when I was knee high to a grasshopper and might have got a few details wrong. The first time I met him he showed me "Hey kid come over here and pull my finger" I thought it was the coolest thing, my mom was so ****ed at him for showing me that. I can still hear her now "it will be a long time before your invited back if you don't cut that out" LOL
