I purchased this barrel for a build, and ended up changing my mind. It's a Rock Creek blank. .284 1:8 26" long. $650 shipped.

The muzzle threading on my last HCA barrel was threaded like a normal break. I am not sure about shortening it.

The carbon is cut back and then the metal is threaded.

I'm no expert or barrel maker, but what keeps the carbon from unraveling after the end is cut? Maybe show pictures of your other for reference? Barrels looks nice and price is right plus it's a rock tube....

Here is a picture of the muzzle break and crown. The carbon is all fused together with resin. I don't see how it would come undone.

Someone actually clamped directly on the carbon with a 6 jaw chuck? Not a good way to keep from buggering it up.

BTW I have the same barrel waiting for me to turning it into a 28 Nosler.

That was my original plan. I would let it go for $600 shipped.

I just picked up a New scope a couple weeks ago. I can't think of any trades.
