Has anyone shot the 110gr A-Tip yet

There's a good amount of information on the 6.5 and 30 cal A-Tip bullets but has anyone shot some of the .243 110gr A-Tip bullets yet, if so, what in and how did they do???

I'd think these would be a hammer, particularly in things like a fast twist 6-284 or 6-06/6-06AI.

I have some loaded for my 6 creed but have not had time to try them out.

I have put half a box down range, at 100 yds for load dev, they're alright, I guess? I used my 6 Creed 110SMk load data. I'l stick with the 110SMK.

I've been using the aluminum tipped Chinchaga bullets for hunting in one of my rifles. They work great!

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, if they perform, I don't really care what they have for a tip, aluminium or otherwise.

I have not shot them personally but I have seen them shot out of a 6BR - PRS rifle and they shoot very very well.

Regardless of bullet weight each bullet should have a load work up done for each type of bullet. To think a certain load will work with two different bullets is not very likely. You would be better off trying to match the velocity first - if its a good node and then play with seating depth to duplicate load.

ME. I like the higher BC the tipped bullets have for the large Varmints I hunt at very long ranges.

Yes to 110 gr A-tip. 6mm Creedmoor, 1/7 twist; 200 yds = less than 1/2 MOA. Last week, set scope elevation to 14 MOA, 5 hits on 9" gong at 800 yds, start to finish. Three shooters at gong; too hard to separate hits, but at least 1MOA or better. 3088 FPS, SD 14 at this time. Tested two Berger's and two additional Hornady bullets. Ladder testing as well. Like packaging and like the bullet: a bit costly. More to do. Good luck!
