Hammers in 308

I have some 124 and 137 grain hammer hunters. Have IMR 4064, 8208xbr, and some Ramshot Tac. Where would you start with a 308 with a 22" barrel? I was going to look at Nosler load data but there isn't a lot of info with these powders

First time loader so I don't need a hot rod load.

Tac should work well. Nosler is a good resource.

Let us know how the Ramshot works! I'm told the bullets like heavy neck tension and a crimp to burn up all the powder. Reduced bearing surface of the bullet.

I run faster powders and .003-.004 neck tension without crimps with my hammers without issue and the 4 rifle I use hammers in all shoot .5 or less

124g HH over TAC is working for me in a Kimber 84M traveling ~3,115fps. This load shoots 1.25moa, still playing with OAL & neck tension.

I ran 47.3gr IMR8208 in my 22" .308Win for 3,200 ft/sec. I even went higher but prefer not to push things too far.
As always, start lower and work up.

I was using the 124HH bullet that posters above are referring to. Accuracy was about moa at 400yds. Normally, I can get the Hammers to shot better than that so I'm still working with them in my .308Win.

FWIW - the 130 Barnes TTSX will shoot into .5 moa @ 400yds with Benchmark in this particular rifle. Velocity is right at 3,130 ft/sec.

I've had really good luck with the 151 absolute's & TAC.
