Shot wasn't long range or where I expected but young shooter had different angle than I did. I asked for a nice behind the shoulder shot @110 yards. 6creedmoor 87 Abdolute Hammer cooking along at estimate 35-3600 out a 26" Proof on top of a pile of IMR 3031!! Took it to primer blow and backed it off a grain. Anyhow one happy hunter and father! At the shot doe dropped like a stone and never wiggled. Impact was just forward of shoulder at edge of brisket. Exit was .45 caliber in hide opposite back of shoulder high (shooting uphill). Everything in between entrance and exit devastated. I was expecting low blood shot and nice .243 hole in and out lol. My son said dad we don't have to track her, apparently she took a step that I didn't notice and was quartering toward us is why he took the forward shoulder shot. Not a bad decision for a 9 year old to make! Pictures don't do the carnage justice and I forgot to take internal damage. Entrance into ribs was several inches with bone fragments and small shock wave thru lungs bullet definitely stayed together at the shank. Found one copper pedal in the mess at the bottom side of backbone.
