H1000 in 6.5-284 NORMA?

Who is running H1000 in 6.5-284 NORMA? What kind of bullets, velocities, accuracy?

One of my "roundtoit" projects is trying this powder out- When I get a roundtoit, you know? But roundtoits are on backorder nationwide, unfortunately.

What is "Roundtoit".???

Also see a lot of different Posts on the 6.5X284 as "Norma"

We design our Reamers off of the 284 Winchester to be necked to 6.5MM. This is called a "Wildcat Version".
Opposed to the 6.5X284 Norma which was a Standardized Cartridge by CIP (Commission internationale permanente pour l'épreuve des armes à feu portatives

Our 6.5X285 Winchester REAMER has been designed by me for the Neck size and the throat to the length of the size bullets we want. So it would be considered a Wildcat to SAAMI . Tighter necks and longer throat. would like to use in LS Actions and big box feders.

The parent case .284 Winchester SAAMI was created around 1963, but did not see extensive commercial use. The 6.5 caliber allowed for the use of long, aerodynamic bullets. In 1999, Norma submitted it to CIP. It has since been standardized as the 6.5mm-284 Norma.
Now if you change from that you are doing from SAAMI then WildCatting again.

The 6.5-284 has been used extensively in benchrest competitions and is known as an extremely accurate long range round. Using an improved version of the 6.5-284, Rich DeSimone set a 1,000-yard (914.4 m) world record with a 1.564-inch (39.73 mm) group.[4] Rich DeSimone's 1,000-yard (914.4 m) record has been broken by Tom Sarver, who shot a 1.403-inch (35.64 mm) group in 2007 using a .300 Hulk wildcat cartridge that is based on the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge.[5] A 140 gr (9.1 g) bullet in this caliber is typically fired at 3,000 ft/s (914 m/s) to 3,100 ft/s (945 m/s).[6]

ANYWAY YOU LOOK AT IT THE 6.5X284 IS A GREAT CARTRIDGE especially shooting these better designed heavier bullets. You can also shoot the 6.5X284 in a SA, MA, & LA depending on the loads you want to shoot.

Powder range a lot. H-100 FL26. H4350, H-4831C, ect.
Just be safe working up your loads!!!!!
THANKS
