Anyone using this? The Lee reloading manual states it is a compressed load but the Hodgdon data says it is not. I am going to try this powder. Just wondered if anyone is using it.
I am using H4350 and Varget but just picked this up because it was listed on Hodgdon website for 260 and looked like it produced good velocity without high pressure.
My understanding of H1000 is that it is more for overbore cartridges such as the 7RM that I have. My shooting buddy has a 260 rem and 4350 is awesome in his gun. If I were you I would skip the H1000 and get some 4350. Just my .02.
7828-SSC is a better choice than H-1000 if you have the barrel length and are shooting 140 class bullets. The go to powders are the 4350's, RL-19, 22, 4831's and such. I use H-4831 in mine 4350 is a second choice in my stick and will get the job done but not quite as accurate as 4831.

Is there any particular reason you would want to use H1000? H4350 seems to be the most common for a 260 Rem. I have used both H3450 and IMR3450 with great success.
