Grendel strikes again

I have, taken 4 stag with my Grendel and the 97-99 hammers. None went more than 20-30 yards. Great little round. Killed lots of audad and hogs with it. 100gr tough bullets are where it's at with that round.
Congratulations on the hunt, I have found more pleasure in who I'm with in recent years than what I shoot. Can't wait for my boys to be able to go with me.

Agree. The Grendel punches well about its size. The high Sd bullets help with this. I've killed countless deer and pigs with authority and pigs ain't no joke.

First year the daughter showed any interest in hunting so yesterday Amanda and I took off on the 4 wheeler to fill my wyoming antelope tag. Let a little guy walk by and bark at us for a while before walking over a couple more hills. Got busted at 600 yards by a possible shooter. We where on the hillside off the skyline so I told Amanda to slowly get comfortable and dont fidget. Well curiousity got the best of the buck and he walked to within 150 yards of us. He was better than some but I knew he was not gonna make book but told Amanda to plug her ears and dropped him with a 123eld out of the Grendel AR, she mentioned it was not that loud, well thats what suppressors are for!
No ground shrinkage on him as he was exactly as I guessed but with a couple of bonuses I had not seen. We caped him for the wall if a taxidermist can be found. Here's a hornytoad for reading this without pics. SorryView attachment 395603

Power Pro Varmint. , about 30 grains. Keep in mind that hammer bullets take a bit more powder than harder engraving bullets. So be careful, very careful. 24 inch CZ. Out of 20 inch Howa its 2970.

Haven't tried that powder but did read good reviews of it.
Howa 20" is my pipe as well!

I could only get mid 2400s. With 123 SST for couple of years. Thought the CZ was just a slow gun. But now that six or eight hundred rounds are down the tube its sped up. Just needed to be smoothed out I guess. And CZ claims to lap the barrels. Can get mid 2500 with the SST now. But the hammers hit like nothing I've ever shot before.

I misquoted the charge weight, that was for the 99 grain Hammer. The 85 grain is 32.9. Be careful if it isn't a hammer bullet.
