Nice! Funny how we think old here is a 1850 farmhouse and in Europe that would be considered "new"!
I worked in Europe quite a bit and friend house outside of Caan in France was built in about 1280! At 6'4" I ducked constantly for ceiling beams and doorways!

What I noticed about farms in Europe was how well kept they were even though very old. Much different perspective on "bone yards".

My bother in law renovated the upper level of the old house, retaining the old timbers and using modern design elements. It is just stunning.
