Still working on a hunting load for it ... watch out you turkeys~! Errr, I mean the 'gobble, gobble' turkeys!
Club butt boucanier smoothbore musket ... 75-caliber with a 60" custom barrel by Greg Christian. As with early French guns, there's no more wood on it that there needs to be and she weighs just a tad over 7-1/2 pounds!
With my looooong barreled smoothies, I switched to 1Fg as the main charge and I get a complete burn for the barrel length and outstanding accuracy with roundball or shot charges. Never using less than 90-grain loads, she's also very soft to shoot!
