I've had a Pedersoli 1874 Sharps replica for a couple years now and found that it is a really accurate rifle despite the sights it came with. But I solved that by installing a new set of iron sights (front and rear) into the existing dovetails. The rear is a ramp style typical U-notch found on rifles like the Marlin Lever guns and the front sight is a 1/16" gold bead. Additionally I installed a Pedersoli vernier tang sight to get me way out there.
I was shooting 405 gr flat nose bullets with a BC of .225 but came across a mold by Lee that cast a 500 grain spire point with a BC of .443. Ordered and on the way. I'll be casting them with a BHN of 19 and powder coating in lieu of lubing.
If I can get it to shoot accurately out to 500 yards I'll be a happy camper.
