If you have no machinist training or experience i would pick up the book titled "The Complete Illistrated Guide to Precision Rifle Barrel Fitting", by John Hinnant,,,,,,, available from Amazon or Manson Precision Reamers, to name two sources. You'll get too many different opinions asking on any internet form. And, if you don't know to begin with you'll have trouble seperating fact from fiction. Or, I'd make arrangements to take a NRA Summer Gunsmthing Course, just 'google' that for more info.
