Easy solution, becoming a supporting member and you never see any ads.
I tried several pop-up blockers on my iPad and iPhone and they didn't work unless I was using the Safari browser. It's cheap for a year and a whole lot less hassle than searching for a pop-up blocker that will work on Apple products using something other than the native browser.

I run Firefox on a Samsung and never get that.

Mozilla and Duck Duck Go will stop a lot of ancillary pop ups. Plus they do not TRACK.
Took the advise of Darryle. Needed to do that anyway.
