I am building a sort of copy of the GAP Xtreme Hunter, just a different action and stock, wondering if someone can help me out on the fluting? How long, how many, and how deep are the flutes? Also how close are they to the end of the barrel without the brake on? I'm guessing the are somewhere around 16" long and maybe .075" to .100" deep, but just trying to figure it out as I like the look of the barrel. Also, anyone in perticular y'all would recommend for the fluting. I've got the blank in hand, but my smith doesn't do fluting. Thanks for the help.

Kampfeld Customs........they do awesome fluting work......alot of smiths send barrels to them for spiral fluting. They also do straight flutes......or what-ever flutes. Simple google search will get you there.
