This is a very nice rifle that was built by David Young of Young's Gunsmithing in Sand Coulee, MT. He is an extremely competent Model 70 Smith. I haven't shot this rifle for over a year.
Model 70 CRF "Classic" receiver that was fully accurized (tennon threads trued and oversized, front of recoil lug was relieved to form a "ring" for barrel abutment, bolt lugs and action abutments trued.
- Factory trigger (original, not the MOA trigger)
- Lilja Mk13 Mod 0 barrel, 26", fluted, 10-twist, 5/8x24 muzzle threads
- Manners T4AF Folder, Fully Pillar Bedded
- CDI DBM
- As pictured, it weighs 19.4# (without scope, mount, suppressor and bipod it should be around 15.8-16.0#)
- all metal has been Cerakoted with a Tungsten/Black blend.
- Will include a muzzle thread protector
- One magazine is included
- Bipod, suppressor, scope and mount NOT included
There are a few minor handling dings and scratches but most of it is from being a safe queen. Round count is 312. The reamer used allows the 215 Berger Hybrid to be seated to magazine length and be just at the lands. This rifle loves 215 Bergers and 208 ELD-Ms with H1000.
This is a tough one to sell but I just don't see myself shooting it anymore.
