Are you sure it's a 1 in 6 barrel twist? What are you shooting through it?

30 grain or less require a minimum of 1 in 10" twist. My plan was to shoot a 20 or 25 grain bullet.

been thinking about a .17 for Varmint work. Is there a heavy .17 bullet out there? 1 in 6 is a super fast twist. Anyone know if you'll be blowing up bullets with a 1 in 6?

1-9 is typical for 27-30 grain and 1-10 is typical for 25 grain and less. I have a 1-9 on mine throated for kindler gold 30's. What bullet is it throated for?

I contacted Carson Lilja and asked him....he said that barrel twist was designed for the 37 grain VLD's.
