Less than 100 rounds down the barrel
Gun has been very easy to load for. H1000, Retumbo, and IMR 7977 have produced sub 1" groups. Best results for 150g bergers. 129 Barnes LRX bullets shoot very well too.
History:
I'm the original owner. Very light field use. Mostly rounds fired at the range. Spent most of it's life in the gun safe. Minor handling marks but no damage. Handling marks are so faint, I can't pick them up with photo's. Most rounds fired by my father. I set this rifle up for easy use for him. Point and shoot set-up.
I was going to re barrel to 6.5 SAUM at some point but just picked one up on here a couple of weeks ago. Way too many magnum at this point.
Scope:
Leupold VX3 w/ CDS (1" tube). Dial is for the 129 LRX. The 129 Barnes LRX and 130 Berger has the same BC, so you'll have some loading options in that projectile weight. The dial should work for multiple 130 projectiles. Make a minor correction at 400, 500, or 600 yards and you'll be close enough way out there, and up close, to make 1 shot kills. CDS dials are cheap, so non issue, nice to have multiple for different uses. Scope has a small scratch on the tube. Glass is clean and clear.
I took it all the way out to 600 yards with the dial and was banging steel w/ no problem. As said, it's been super easy to load for and very accurate. I haven't done extensive testing. I found a load that worked and loaded that for my dad to practice/hunt with. He's not into long range hunting/shooting.
Reloading components:
41 Once-fired Nosler brass (cleaned, not sized).
9 new, unfired brass (bullets pulled)
Remaining Berger, 150g Bullets
Remaining Barnes, 129g LRX
Hornady OAL modified case
RCBS full length die set
Hornady Neck Sizer (new, never used)
*Mag box in the Kimber 8400, short-actions is super long (about 3"). 150g Bergers touch the lands with tons of room to spare. Shouldn't be a projectile out there that you'll need to "jump."
Scope Bases/rings:
Multiple rings/bases, all included in sale.
Talley one-piece bases:
1) 1" (as pictured)
2) 30mm - worked with a 50mm Objective Vortex HS scope
-and-
