For Sale-
Pre-64 Model 70 with 338 Rem. Ultra Mag & 264 Win Mag barrel.
-The 338 barrel is a 1-10 twist Lilja stainless with muzzle brake,
and duracoat matte black, 24 1/2" barrel-- 26 1/4" overall with brake
-The 264 barrel is a Rock Creek stainless 1-8 twist, 26" length
(Both barrels are turned to the same profile so they can be changed with no bedding issues approximately a #5.5 contour .720 at muzzle. Both barrels have less than 75 rounds fired. Both have fired under 1/2" at 100yds. (very little handload work)
- Pre-64 Model 70 action lugs lapped and trigger approx. 2.5 lbs. It is still
the original finish 492,000 serial #. Bottom metal is one piece Sunny Hill.
- The stock is MPI, it does have slight sanding marks from the smith fitting
the Sunny Hill bottom metal. Pillar bedded.
All totaled I have about $2600 invested in the rifle.
I will include 30mm talley ring/base combo which are lapped to the receiver, pictured; and a set of Redding 338 Ultra mag dies to the buyer.
I can ship the barrel and dies directly to you and the rifle to an FFL dealer.
Total $1450 - If no interest it is off to gun broker
PM if interested. Feel free to ask any questions. I will have to answer questions in the evenings.
thanks

I don't have a scale handy to give you an accurate figure. I can try and weigh it tomorrow. I would say rifle alone about 9-10 pounds. I will try to get an accurate weight and add it to the post.

*Added a recent 100yd. target from the .264, rifle is probably capable of shooting better than me
