Saturday killed this guy. My BIL has a 20k acre lease North of Del Rio. He saw some Aoudad a few weeks ago while Axis hunting. He said come and let's give em a try. So loaded up and drove down. Thursday killed hog at 440yd with 6.5 CM 135gr Berger. Friday morning got Hog at 326yd with 6.5 PRC. Friday evening we saw 2 Aoudad ewe and 7 hog, tired of hog at that point. Walked 6.2 miles Friday. Saturday morning saw 1 ram but somewhat young about 27", saw 10pt WT buck 140ish and a velvet Axis. Late in afternoon we found a large canyon with 3 ewes, so we set down and glassed awhile. About 5:05pm I saw a large ram appear on opposite side of canyon walking north. Ranged him at 336yds, waited for him to stop and squeezed trigger. He ran about 40 yds and tumbled. Used my Browning MAX Long Range X bolt 6.5 PRC, suppressed with 124gr Hammer Hunter. 30 3/8, 30 4/8 horns, 13 3/8 bases. 254lbs. We were glassing from top of ridge in picture, took pic where ram was down looking back to where we glassed.
