These are very nice looking guns, but the sporting model may shoot a little flat for trap, unless it has the adjustable comb. Also i would be a little concerned about the barrel trunnions. You should probably check to see if they are replaceable like they are on the beretta's. I've seen some of the lower priced over unders shoot loose after a couple thousand rounds. Imo i would suggest starting with a browning or beretta even if you had to by a used one.
