New Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20X50 matte long range target scope with 3/4 mil dot reticle, model #52199.

30mm tube, side parallax dial, competition style (high) windage and elevation knobs.

Bought for a long range project rifle that never materialized. I've removed the plastic wrap and fondled it, but otherwise in brand new, unmounted condition.

What exactly is the 3/4 mildot please?

Yes it is a previous generation version.

to see a picture of the mildot reticle, along with the specifications for this model of scope. The mildot type of reticle can be used for range estimation, but someone more informed than I will have to supply the details.
