One of a few "minty" vintage rifles that I purchased some time ago. This rifle is in excellent condition. I have never fired it, and from appearances it may have had only a handful of rounds through it at all. Bolt face, bolt body, receiver all look pristine. Bottom metal is gorgeous. Receiver is drilled for scope mounts (screws are present, as the photos show). Overall weight, as shown, is ~9-lbs.

Bore is mirror-bright. You will note in the photos that the barrel and action share serial numbers, in this case being in the mid 1200's. I am reasonably certain that this is a 1:10, which is period standard, but I can't be 100% certain; it would be highly unusual for the twist to be anything other than 1:10. I have searched for info on serial numbers from these rifles, and can't find a date (or even year) of production, however I believe that it's fair to ballpark it in the range of 1957 to 1958, within the first couple of years of production of this action. The exterior of the barrel, which is stamped "Chrome Vanadium" (among the various runes that appear) is also in amazing condition.

Trigger is apparently a custom job. It's very light, certainly not the factory-issued trigger.

Stock appears to be a Fajen Aristocrat. It is highly figured, and very attractive (to my eye, at least). The action is bedded to the stock, and the bottom metal has been very precisely fitted. All metal below the stock is in the same pristine condition shown in the photos.

The only flaw that I can see is a rub mark in the bluing near the muzzle on the left side.

This is a tried and true series of hunting rifle, chambered in a classic hunting cartridge. It is the opinion of many Mauser-folk that the FN Mauser Supreme was the pinnacle action on which they built rifles. This particular one is just superb.

Please PM me for additional photos, or feel free to ask questions. Asking price is $725, shipped to your FFL. Included will be an EGW aluminum rail and overmolded Hogue stock (olive). I will consider fair offers.

Holeeeeee Moleeeeeee!

That is a gorgeous rifle and I feel undervalued!

Do you happen to know the twist, most likely a 10, and the weight? Two questions that others will want to know.

Good luck with the sale!

Good point. I added those details. Thanks!

Barrel length is, from my measurement, 23.6". This was a standard length for the period, for this cartridge.
