Would like to hear from some of you guys who may have used both floating & solid pilot reamers and noticed a qualified differences between the results of using one vs the other. I personally believe the the floating head has to be better from the stand point of not leaving as much abbrasions opposite the direction of bullet travel. All of my custom barreled rifles were chambered with floating head reamers but I do have two factory barrels that shoot with the custom barrels and don't foul badly. I don't believe the factory was using floating pilot reamers. I will continue to go with floating pilot reamers but the question is mostly from curiosity.
