My stock finally arrived yesterday and I got busy putting it together. It started life as a 7mm mag that I bought on Gunbroker for 200 bucks and shot 3" groups at 50 yards. Oh well, I bought it for a donor anyway.

Savage 110 action
PT&G bolt head
Criterion 24" varmint contour 1-8 twist
NSS precision barrel nut and .250 lug
McMillan A3 in coffee camo
Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50
EGW practical rings and 20 MOA base
YHM 7.62 QD Ti Phantom

A big thanks to Tim at N.O.S. and Jim at Northland. Both super nice guys and a pleasure to do business with.

Took it to the range for a shakedown. Starting load of 39gr of IMR 4350, 140gr SMK's in necked up 243 brass. After I got it sighted in I did a 6 shot group(lost track) and a 3 shot group with the suppressor.

Six shot......yanked the 4th one.

3 shot suppressed.

Next is load development, confirm drops and stretch her out.

Very nice, I also just finished building my 260 Rem. Looks like you have a good shooter there.

I had a 260 built this past winter on a Rem 700 and McMillan A-3 sporter stock and it loves 123 A Max and 4350, so far it has racked up 4 ground hogs and one crow and shoots around 1" at 300 yds.

How much powder and have your chrono'd it? I haven't had a chance to shoot mine yet since work has me 1200 miles from home. I have 123 Lapua Scenars to try in mine.

that is a good looking gun, great groups. you thinking about cera coating the barrel? would look real good darked out.

I am shooting 43-44 gr H-4350, don't know about the speed as my chrono broke and have not replaced it yet or made the trip to a friends house. I would guess 2900fps+ as my barrel is 26.5" long. Mine did not like 4350 and 140's but it did like 7828 with the 140's Bergers VLD
By the way I do like the flavor (Coffee) of your stock as I'm roasting some right now. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

Well seeing this certainly isn't helping my willpower towards not ordering a 260AI barrel and Boyds stock for my rifle... It's getting painful to hold out... I am sure, right about the time I get my loads developed and all my data together for the .308 I will "pull the trigger" on the barrel swap and start over.

Love the rifle, it looks great. gun)

Rifle looks awesome! Just wondering what is cost you to put it together? I am looking into putting a nice rifle together that can be super accurate, such as that gun.

Thanks
