After (only) 13 years I finally drew a Utah limited entry elk tag. I drew the Wasatch mountains late rifle hunt which takes place in mid November. I'll have to decide which rifle to take. Right now the main contenders are my 8mm Rem Mag and my 6.5 SAUM. It's going to be a long 6 months!

Congrats sambo3006, I drew a permit in North slope, 3 corners back in 2013. It took me 15 years to draw that one. I was able to kill a really nice 6x6 on the first morning, Oct 1. You are alot farther west and a later hunt, hope you can get into some great elk as I did.
