Since bow season hasn't panned out for us, time to get the rifles warmed up.
I bought a new Browning xbolt western hunter in 28 nosler, put a vortex hslr 4-16 on it. Boy does it shoot! The trigger came set at 3lb 12 oz. I didn't adjust it yet.
There's 4 shots in that group next to a 3" dot. I was breaking in the barrel, shooting at 100 yards with nosler 160gr AB ammo.
Shot some new ar500 plates at 200 yards.
The center group was the Browning.
This weekend we shot some long range for us steel.
It was 530 yards. The left 3 shot group was the Browning. The other group was my 300 RUM rem 700 sps. It's trigger is 4.5 lb.
This is my first rifle and scope combination that I'll learn to dial turrents with. It's nice just holding directly on the target instead of hold overs or using ballistic plex's.
