I don't know much about shot gun shells, but I bought 200 of the Federal Premium buckshot for my Benelli M4 and the shells are leaking small white beads out of the top of the shells which jams up the gun. Has anyone seen this before?
Unfortunately, it makes them non-usable. Does Federal stand behind the issue or am I just out the money? Can feed these in a defense shot gun due to reliability. I will admit that I am out of touch with shot gun issues, but this should have been addressed by the manufacturer.
I have been lucky. I have run cases of buffer leaking magnums through several different guns (both pumps and autos) hunting crows and pheasants and never had a buffer related malfunction. They can make a little mess though.
These caused the shells to stick in the feed tube. It bound the follower up in the tube, so the shell did not chamber. I had to take the entire assembly apart and clean that stuff out.
same answer as above I've never had any feed issues due to the buffer either and have never heard of anyone contacting Federal about it ,,, so curious what they say and good luck.
I used to load shotgun shells and would use candle wax to seal them up.
Just put the lit candle over the crimp close to the shell and the melted wax will seal the crimps well enough to stop the leaks.
