Can't quite tell what the wood is; American Black Walnut? Has a whole lot of color for A.B.W., and if it is, wow! Even if it's not, WOW! You did a fine job of fitting the end caps and butt pad. Love the look .. Should make someone very happy!

Ok, it just looked a lot like one I built from them for a 1913 eddystone. If I had the spare change I would take it off your hands, I have been thinking about building a nice fancy wood stocked fair weather elk rifle.
