Factory ammo inconsistent size

I have a new Browning X bolt 300 wsm I bought 5 boxes of 180 gr acubond Winchester ammo. About second round bolt would not close next round was fine. Fired about a half box and was happy with a 3/4 in 3 shot group to end the session. I don't reload so just used the chamber to check size when I got home. 12 rounds out of the five boxes would not chamber. Never had this happen before. I guess the ones that fit should be fine for my hunt.

I would suggest calling the ammunition manufacturer.

If you have a friend with a comparator it would be interesting to measure the bullets that will chamber correctly against the ones that don't and see what the variance is.

Good advice so far, I would take it to a smith, and have it checked for headspace. I have seen a couple come too tight.
