Schmidt and Bender 1.5-6 X 42 Zenith scope w/Flash Dot L9 Reticle for sale. Voted 2005 optic of the year: http://www.schmidtbender.com/scopes_zenith.shtml
I have mounted this scope, however, it has never seen field use since miserable the *&$^*&^$s in the People's Republik of Illinois refused to issue me a turkey permit this year.
Mounting procedure:
I used Kelby rings and a Kelby rail (left over from one of my projects).
I used Clymer reamer to get approximately 90% contact.
I then used a lapping bar to achieve between 95% and 99% contact on the rings.
I didn't want to go any further for fear of not having enough metal to tighten the scope in.
I added RTV Silicone to each mating surface and placed the scope in the rings.
I then used a Seekonk torque wrench and tightened the ring screws to 15 inch/lbs.
This scope is for sale for $1450.00 + shipping.
If you have any question regarding the pedigree of this scope, Matt Garrett advised me to have anyone call him (757) 581-6270, or [email protected]
