I realize this is likely a difficult question to answer but I am trying to decide between two scopes from the same manufacturer, one has a ranging MOA milling illuminated dot as you POA the other has a ranging MOA milling illuminated cross hair. I have never used a scope with anything but a duplex reticle and I have checked no LGS by me have any scopes with a ILL/dot reticle I can try out and evaluate.
Would like to know if making the transition from a cross hair to aiming with a illuminated dot gave you any issues I should be aware of.

Illuminated dot is the best hunting reticle.
As in the Leupold one.
Not busy and very fast to pickup against an animal.

Definitely not a LR set up but on my 375H&H I have a Kahles 1.5-6 with the illuminated circle dot reticle and found it too "busy". Sent it back and they changed it to just a dot/crosshair. Works much better IMHO.
