Exchange for Lows?

Hey guys,

Mounting up a VX-5HD on my Tikka. Using Warne mountain tech rail and medium rings (based on manufacturers chart). Scope seems to sit a bit high in mediums. Should I exchange for low rings? Plenty of bolt handle clearance but I think I may be cutting it close by the scope taper and the end of the rail. Appreciate any input.

I had the same issue with a one piece NF rail. I went with Leupold lows, but actually wanted to go lower. May have to cutoff the rail to go lower. Decided to just go with it as is for now.

Hey,
I always try to keep the scope as low as I can to my bore....I would take a micrometer and measure the clearance from the end of your scope rail to the taper on the scope and then check the height difference between the low and medium rings that you wish to try and use. Height of the medium rings - the height of the low rings should get you your clearance to the end of the rail. I would think...
