I use 125s in my Excalibur crossbowWell, didn't get any wisdom here, so I just ordered some more NAP Killzone mechanical expanding broadheads. They have worked well on two deer for me so far. I was wondering if one might get better penetration through bone with a 125 grain broadhead than a 100 grain; or, would you just be giving up speed?
Spitfires is one of my go to broadheads. I shot a fat six point two days ago for jerky processing, expensive but worth it. I hit him at 40 yards with my Ten Point S440 Vengent, directly in the throat, severed his jugular and half his windpipe exited, however he ran full flag up for 350 yards, before piling up. Not a drop of blood left in him . Nothing written in stone when hunting, the spitfires did what they're supposed to.I've always had good success with spitfires
