EGW Picatinny base question??

Just mounted my new 20MOA EGW base on my Tikka T3. Is it suppose to stick over the front of the receiver about an inch? Looks kinda funky. Ive seen NEAR bases on this rifle and they do not do this.

I have a couple of EGW's and Nightforce on different rifles. I beleive they make several models including ones for F-Class and such that extend forward somewhat to allow for positioning the scope slightly forward when you predominantly shoot prone.

I've been very satisfied with their product.

Yes, all the EGW bases I have do this.

At least on all of my Savage and Remingtons.

Ok thanks for the quick replies. I just havnt seen this setup before so i was thrown off guard when i installed. Anyways looks like a great rail.
