EDM vs Broached

Can someone explain what this means? Pro/Cons of each? Any link to read? Got this from Sniper forum.

TL3 short actions are broached. TL3 long actions are wire EDM'd. Origin's are not broached or wire EDM'd. They come from a different process all together.

edm uses a a wire to electrically discharge material, It is very accurate. A broach is a cutting tool with progressive teeth that is usually pulled through the material. Its generally not as accurate as edm but cost less.

I wonder how Origin actions are done? Guess I will be calling them on Monday

I would guess CNC machining.

FYI...all Zerm actions now are broached. They found it easier to control the tolerances and consistency.
