Re: Drag Function \"G\" number
G refers to "drag model" AKA "drag deceleration". G1, G5, G7 are all drag models. Most manufactures use G1 for tests and info. In the real world, few bullets will actually fly according to the drag model G1. Some will use G5 or others G7, and some will not quite fit at all and a custom model will have to be used. There are 2 numbers needed that will calculate accurately the rate a bullet will decelerate (excluding apmospheric conditions) Its overall BC and its drag model. They are differant and yet so closley intertwined. It is a very in depth subject and hope others here share their understanding of this topic.
