Those powders are a bit fast burning for the 16" rifle barrel in my 94AE. I had great results with H-110 and 11FS in my rifle. Another thing that made a huge difference in my groups was removing the buckhorn site and installing a rear peep. Groups shrank by 1/2. The rifle shoots 1" @ 100Wondering what powder is better for 45 colt rifle? Hp-38 or titegroup?
Yes in deed. A-9 also shot good in mine also but with jacketed bullets. Good speed also. When loading for my Rossi 92 in 45 lc I use Accurate Arms #9 20.6 grs I think.250 gr Hard Cast bullet with a Brinell hardness of 20-21.
Not the most accurate lever rifle but at 100 yards I can hit extremely close to point of aim.I'm guessing 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups.
I try to keep Unique around as it has been getting the job done for many years!I reload my own cast bullets and also jacketed and my go to powder is Unique.
