Does anyone own both: SIII Fixed and SIII Variable?

I bought a SIII fixed 10 power when they came out and I've been happy as can be with it. While I love the target turrets and modified mil-dot, I'd like a variable power scope with a higher top end than the 10 power. I was wondering if anyone who has both has compared them for clarity? I know they technically are the same glass, but I wondered with the additional lens in the variable if you gave up any clarity or light transmission? TIA.

i have had both. both are outstanding in the glass department. i no longer have the fixed scope because the turrets turned too easily for my liking. if you like your fixed you will LOVE the variable. i have two 6-24's for sale by the way. email [email protected] if you have any interest.
