Any idea if the magazine could be replaced or rebuilt to a standard. Would a medium set of tally's or NF rings give enough room to remove the rail

The magazine could be substituted for any AICS 300 Win magazine. The stock inlet is standard BDL, so if you wanted to install a standard BDL bottom metal, you could do that. Concerning scope clearance with Talley or NF rings, it would all depend on your intended scope. However, you would be able to find a ring height that would work with most scopes if you wanted to remove the rail.
