I have been sighting in my load for my 7mmRm for a couple of years with my handloads.
Mainly shooting at 100 and 200 yard distances and studing the ballistic charts for my handloads.
I was attempting to get it set at PBR @ around 300 - 350 yards.
Well this past Sunday I actually had the opportunity to validate this.
Shot at a Silhouette range with a max range of 500 Meters.
Used my range finder and selected a couple of distances to shoot at.
Target a 16" diameter disc and 2" thick.
336yds, 436yds and 550 Yards, per my laser range finder.
Started at 336 yards, first three round were hits.
I then moved to the 436 yards, First two rounds hits.
I then attempted the 550 yard distance. I missed low the first three times and hit the target the fourth go round.
I was very happy with the results and I am zeroed @ 336 Yards.
Oh I also shot my TRG-S 338 Lapua for the first time. 250 grain Nolsler Partitions. Just getting familiar with the little monster.
Velocity:
2900-2950fps IMR7828 83gr
3000-3100fps IMR7828 85gr
Factory 26" barrel and muzzle brake
All in all a fun weekend of shooting and was very happy with the results.
