Hello,
I have a 308 Rifle and I got a nick on the outer barrel diamater, the very end of the barrel- nick on the circle part of the barrel. I had to rough up the end of the barrel to try and re-blue. If one side had a more taken off than the other does that affect accuracy at all? The crown is fine so I am thinking not but not sure. It looks fine in room lighting but if I flash a light on it - i can see the scuff marks. The blue is not sticking very well(super blue, going to try something different) so trying to see if I need to have a gunsmith look at as I don't want rust. The nice thing is it is right at the end of the barrel so if I had my rifle re-crowned it would even up the end if it is off. What do you think?
Thanks!
Mark
