Defiance Guaranteed Headspace

I recently bought a Defiance anTi and a prefit barrel (barrel manufacturer to remain nameless).

I installed the barrel, and bolt will not close. I called the barrel manufacturer and was told that the Defiance actions were not within tolerance.

I am curious if anyone else has any first-hand experience with this.

I have an anti-but I have not tried a pre-fit barrel yet . I was with the understanding that defiance actions are very accurate with their measurements and headspace would not be a problem ,without knowing any facts. I would assume it was the barrel manufacturer.

The gunsmith he took it to for assistance took a barrel that had just come off another Defiance that he had cut and chambered and it threaded right on and chambered a piece of brass fine.
I was there at the time of this second barrel issue. So that leads me to believe it was the barrel. But I didn't do any of the measuring.

Using a depth micrometer, you could measure from the boltface to the end of action check the number with the defiance specs and see if it matches up,that would definitely leave the problem with the barrel.
