I recall a post mentioning a barrel that was off. Please show me where someone said the action was the problem. That is what this thread was created for.

I only pointed my finger after confirming where the fault was. Their initial response was to blame others. There is a difference...
If you are seeking a resolution to the matter you could step out of the emotional mindset and release Carbon 6 of their initial stance since they offered to make it right. The "not our fault" is a common initial response from any company when they don't have the evidence. They aren't going to assume fault at every complaint right out the gate. We wouldn't need civil courts if that were the case. You aren't giving Carbon 6 a chance to get hands on the products for them to inspect and determine their level of fault.I am more than acceptant of the possibility of mistakes, and would be willing to work it out, but no one wants to deal with a person or company that their first statement when confronted with an issue is finger pointing rather than eagerness to find out the actual problem.

I'm not emotional, and I don't see where I have fallen. So, you painted yourself into a corner on this by approaching this emotionally and not stoically. You have every right to stand on principle, but you are falling from pride.
I'm not emotional, and I don't see where I have fallen.
I am simply not going to pay to send their faulty part and my part back for them to decide if they messed up. That is my choice. I am not sending them my action regardless. I have already paid someone to verify the problem. I know which is one is off, and I am paying to have it fixed.
This thread was asking for other's similar experiences with Defiance. You were the first person looking to fuel the fire by demanding who the barrel manufacturer was. I never even hinted to their name until I confirmed the problem.
If you guys don't have a Defiance action that is out of spec, then you really don't have anything positive to contribute to this thread.
I am sorry you have to go through this crap. I am glad you are chucking this as a lesson learned and moving on with your personal choice/decision. Good luck, and have fun with your build.I'm not emotional, and I don't see where I have fallen.

Which ones? The anTi/anTiX, Ruckus or others with guaranteed headspace? Or the Deviant or Rebel? Thanks.Ive had several defiance actions and they are a great action. But they're guarantee of .001 is bs ive had them as far as .006 different from one to the other
You're wasting your time. This cat is a hot mess and you can't tell him anything. That's the worst thing for you do to. Now IF the barrel doesn't shoot, well you have relieved Carbon Six of any and all liability by having someone else work on it. Pay the $20 and ship it to them to insect and resolve the issue. It'll be much cheaper than having your guy fix it.
Someone did post where Defiance has been out of spec and you ignored it. Carbon Six has also told you Defiance has been out of spec and you ignored it.
The action you have may very well be fine and the barrel may be wrong, they offered to fix it. You refused. They did what they are supposed to do.
Anti and anti xWhich ones? The anTi/anTiX, Ruckus or others with guaranteed headspace? Or the Deviant or Rebel? Thanks.
Dang, thanks!Anti and anti x
I would say this clears up the Defiance guarantee issue in my book.I haven't had any issues so far. The anti and antix have all timed and headspaced the same that Ive chambered barrels for. headspace variance has been .0015 for over 100 actions and timing has been within .001. Pretty dang good. Doesn't get any better.
