I have a Remington 700 long action 300 Win Mag built by Defensive Edge. I bought the rifle a year ago. I have since bought a 338 Edge and won't get enough trigger time with this to justify keeping it.

From my understanding, the rifle started life as a Remington 700 PSS DM in 300 Win. The rifle has the wonderful H-S Precision PSS stock. After shooting it a while, the original owner had a 26" Sendero-Taper Hart Stainless steel barrel put on my Defensive Edge. While putting it on, he had the action squared and trued. He also had Defensive Edge put on a 20 MOA rail and install a DE Cheekpiece.

The original owner fired 200 rounds through the barrel, I have fired an additional 200 (two boxes of Nosler Ballistic Tips 50ct. and one box of 200gr Sierra Matchkings 100ct.

A total of approximately 400 rounds through the barrel.

I have hunted with the rifle so there are a couple blemishes in the finish and stock of the rifle. Purely cosmetic and you have to look quite closely to see them.

$1400 for the rifle and base. I could include the scope and rings for $2800.

Re: WTS Defensive Edge Remington 700 300 Win

How did the rifle shoot for you? Groups? Also specs on the scope please, what reticle, zero stop?
Thanks a bunch.

Re: WTS Defensive Edge Remington 700 300 Win

It shot very well for me with 200 SMK and 180 BT/Accubonds using H4831SC. I never photographed any groups or anything but I would conservatively say both loads were 3/4 MOA loads. Many groups were better but I can definitely say that any group greater than 3/4 MOA had a flier on my part.

I didn't do much load development. Pretty much just try a powder charge, seat the bullet out as far as possible and go shoot.

The scope is a NF NXS 5.5-22x56 with the NP1 reticle. Non-Zero Stop and 10 MOA turret.

I'm currently working out a trade for another NF scope so this is a limited time offer.

Update: The Nightforce has been sold. Only the rifle w/base is available.

Re: WTS Defensive Edge Remington 700 300 Win

Disregard my last post. The buyer has backed out. The package is still available.

Re: WTS Defensive Edge Remington 700 300 Win

Ok...the scope has been traded away. It is no longer available in the package. PM's have been returned. I've had a lot of interest, just nobody pulling the trigger. Let's do this. I'm flexible on price and trade.

Re: WTS Defensive Edge Remington 700 300 Win PRICE DROP

I appreciate the offer. That sounds like a wonderful pistol. I think I will have to pass...the next 1911 I get is gonna be an STI. I will continue to think about it but for now I'm gonna have to hold out.
