Ase Utra sound moderator ( still need to get it painted )

i shot a couple of different loads today and had a couple of groups that where
just over 1/4 moa
i going to have to sneak away from work tomorrow so
that i can have another go

I really like that. That is very much along the lines of what I am talking with Shawn about now, but only in a 300WM. That snake skin camo pattern is pretty slick also.

Why did you decide to import rather than use a domestic gunsmith?
Cost?

no problem with the import it was a lot easier than i was told and the FFL that i used was brilliant and kept me up to date

most guys in the UK have sound mods for their rifles and there is no problem getting one they just go on your firearms license along with each calibre of rifle you have
i have two different types the ASE and an A-TEC which shrouds back over the barrel both have good and bad points

the ASE UTRA
the end cans tend to be a bit louder and you cant strip them for cleaning but cool down a lot quicker
the A-TEC
the over fit type tend to be quieter and also most can be stripped down but they require a bushing at the rear for support and this usualy rubs away the finish on your barrel leaving a silver ring they also take longer to cool down
3 shots out my mates 7mm wsm and you cant touch it (hes getting an end can)

both take away the BOOM and reduce the recoil all you hear is a loud crack
