i bought a like new cz 550 varmite in 22-250 that its just about impossible to close on a loaded shell, and including a full lenth sized case. if i resize the case two times with the decapping rod out and realy lean on the press handle i can close the bolt, but its still overly hard. i have cleaned and polished the chamber. by the way the loaded shell and a F L sized case fit into a rem 700 like greased lighting. my last resort will be a visit to a gunsmith to have the chamber ck,d.

How does it do with factory rounds? If they're casings fired in another rifle with a longer chamber and you're only bumping the should back 0.001-0.003 then you would have difficulty in a shorter chamber. Is your die turned all the way down?

yes die down. i think the problem was there from new as the rifle looks to be new(bought at auction, no return). i may call CZ USA this week and ask about the tight chamber, it may had had a well used finish remmer used on it, leaving a under sized chamber.
