Hardly a long-range rifle, but I picked this up a while ago and have yet to use it, so I guess it can go. It's a Springfield Krag in 30-40, our military's predecessor to the 30-06. It has been stocked in a Mannlicher stock of nice walnut. It has the period-correct receiver sights used in the days before scopes were invented. Would make a cool little woods carbine, with sufficent power for Elk.
