I currently have a Jackson Game Hunter in 6.5x284. Monte Carlo walnut stock and 26" tube. Beautiful rifle. However, I am wanting to build a 7mm of some configuration with a 20" barrel for pack hunting.
I bought this rifle used with what I was told was minimal (about 20) rounds down. And it's super clean rifle so I wouldn't doubt it. Adding the 50 rounds I've put down brings this rifle only to approximately 70rds. So it's got a lot of life left as is. But I'm just into wanting something different.
So, do you think I should build off this action and sell the stock and barrel or sell the rifle and start from scratch?
I haven't come across many if any custom builds with a Cooper action so stock in letting would be custom too.
I would just like some feedback please.
Thanks,
