Rifle alone weighs 7lbs 2oz w/o scope/rings/rail.
Yes there is the Gunwerks chassis, you can set this up for detachable mags, by changing B/M. Standard 700 BM. If you never felt these stocks (now defunked for their newer stocks)they have a great feel--Tactical/sporter and light.
Action is Stainless.

www.Precisionmetalsandarms.com did the work. A Gunsmith from Remington who opened his own business. He's a local and builds a lot of bench rest rifles.
